Required connectors:
To connect the PSVR helmet to the computer, you must have available HDMI and USB ports. Accordingly, the first one is for displaying the image on the helmet, the second one is for receiving data and controlling. The HDMI port does not necessarily have to be on a separate video card; you can combine both the working monitor and the helmet on single card.
Connecting VR helmet:
The PSVR headset is connected according to the standard scheme: the headset is connected to the VR processor; USB connector of the VR processor is connected to the USB port of the computer; the HDMI PS4 connector is connected to the HDMI port of computer video card.
Display settings:
After connecting the headset, turn on the VR processor and the headset, check that the second display has appeared (it will be called like Sony HMD) and it has resolution 1920×1080. You may also need to configure the order of the displays or select the main one.
Configuring device permissions (optional):
For the headset to work correctly, you need to configure device permissions for any user. To do this, copy the 99-psvr.rules file from the archive to the /etc/udev/rules.d folder and then reboot the computer (this file is also in the code repository). This setting is optional: if you do not do it, then for correct operation you will need to run the player with root rights (via sudo).
